The purpose of the Marketing Manager is to increase and maintain excellent brand image, awareness, loyalty and sales of Maggie Beer Holdings’ brands in the retail environment.
Key responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Be the brand custodian for MBH retail brands across retail & eCommerce environments
- Develop and implement the overall brand strategy in line with Company objectives, to achieve sales and brand growth for the MBH retail brands
- Be a key contributor to the MBH New Product Development for retail markets including competitor & opportunity analysis, identifying key new category & current range extension opportunities, and post launch review
- Overseeing the graphic designers (in-house and external) to create assets such as packaging for new products, media and digital content in line with MBH Brand guidelines and strategy
- Create powerful and consistent go-to-market strategies for new products launches in retail & eCommerce environments
- Identify opportunities and create impactful, consistent marketing campaigns for existing products in retail & eCommerce environments
- Lead, create, implement, analyse and report on strategic Above The Line marketing campaigns for all MBH brands
- Lead, create, implement, analyse and report on strategic digital marketing campaigns for MBH retail brands, including but not limited to:
- Email marketing
- Social media & content marketing
- Paid advertising
- Website marketing
- Identify strategic opportunities, manage and analyse Maggie Beer Products’ eCommerce marketing & sales calendar, including but not limited to:
- Sales initiatives and promotions
- New Product Development
- Product launches
- Automated marketing
- Manage & maintain third party distribution websites such as GS1 Smart Media and David Jones PIM
- Conduct market research to identify growth in brand awareness, key strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats for MBH retail brands
- Identify and create key sales tools such as Point of Sale and product mock ups in collaboration with sales team
People Management
- Lead, coach, and mentor key 3rd party suppliers in the delivery of high-quality outcomes
- Provide leadership and direction by fostering collaboration, communication, innovation, and excellence with all stakeholders to contribute to operational and strategic results
- Influence and coach others by modelling high performance and alignment with the organisation’s values, which in turn support the attainment of the organisation’s strategic vision.

Qualifications
- Degree in marketing and/or communications
Experience and Traits
- 7+ years’ experience in Business to Consumer (B2C) marketing roles, preferably in retail & eCommerce markets
- Ability to think like a consumer and easily switch between brand voices/direction
- Positive can-do attitude
- Demonstrated capacity to think, plan and act strategically and to engage and influence across an organisation with diverse stakeholders
- Ability to question things and think outside the box
- Agile with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle competing priorities
- High level of organisation and ability to meet deadlines

- Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Desirable Attributes
- Experience in retail food and beverage/FMCG
- Experience in media planning
- Experience with retail tools such as Cartology Promoted Products, Coles Citrus, GS1 & PartnerHub
- Good eye for design
- Experience in packaging and NPD
- Experience in digital marketing as well as traditional ATL marketing
