Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Marketing Manager to lead the marketing efforts of Freshmark, a leading brand in the fresh produce sector. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives to elevate the recognition and reach of the Freshmark brand, as well as drive growth in its products and services. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, creativity, and strong leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Creation of Marketing Strategy: Develop a comprehensive marketing strategy and associated assets aimed at increasing brand recognition, expanding market reach and increasing market share for Freshmark's products and services.

Marketing Campaign Development: Plan, execute, and oversee marketing campaigns across various channels (digital, traditional, etc.) to meet key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive sales in products and services.

Social Media Strategy: Develop and implement a social media strategy to:

  1. Engage Freshmark’s target audience, build brand loyalty, and promote our products/services effectively.
  2. Promote the fresh produce sector and raise awareness and support for Freshmark's policy positions and desired outcomes.

Partnership Management: Establish and nurture strong relationships with key partners, vendors, and influencers to:

  1. Enhance our brand's visibility and leverage partnership opportunities. 
  2. Optimise the effectiveness of our partnership campaigns/entitlements to drive interest and lead generation for partner product offerings.

Event Marketing: Lead marketing activities for Freshmark events, trade shows and exhibitions, ensuring maximum visibility and participation to enhance brand exposure, engagement and lead generation. 

Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and analyse marketing performance metrics, such as ROI, conversion rates, customer acquisition cost and engagement rates.  Provide regular reports to the Freshmark Board and Management to track progress against Freshmark’s operational plans and inform strategic decision-making.

Team Leadership and Development: Manage and mentor direct reports, fostering their professional growth and ensuring alignment with organisational goals.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Marketing & Communications, Social Media Marketing, Brand Management, or a related field.
  • Proven track record (5+ years) of success in developing and implementing marketing strategies and associated assets that drive brand awareness and business growth (digital, traditional etc.)
  • Extensive experience in creating and managing marketing campaigns, with a focus on achieving measurable KPIs that are linked to the organisation’s growth strategy.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing techniques, including SEO, SEM, social media advertising, email marketing, etc.
  • Strong understanding of marketing and sales platforms and demonstrated ability to leverage them effectively to achieve the organisation’s KPIs.
  • Proven track record in developing and optimising an organisation’s digital assets, inclusive of their website to achieve greater brand recognition, market reach and market share.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in managing and motivating a team to achieve goals and deliver results.
  • Prior experience in the fresh produce sector or related industry is a plus.
