In this new permanent role the Communications Manager is responsible for managing and producing external communication outputs with key stakeholders across the organisation and industry.
Key Responsibilities of the role -
Develop, update and implement strategic external communication strategies and associated campaigns related to governments, community groups and industry groups.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with media.
Manage response to media and develop and implement proactive public relations strategies.
Effectively manage issues and provide timely advice to management on emerging risks and proactive media opportunities.
Effectively identify, mitigate and manage media issues and provide timely information and advice to senior leadership team on emerging issues
To be successful in this role you will have the following experience -
Tertiary qualifications in, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or a similar field accompanied with the relevant 7+ years of professional experience.
Experience in managing external communication channels for an large complex company, both reactive and proactive.
Exceptional written and verbal communications skills are essential.
High level communication and negotiation skills with proven ability to build relationships and influence effectively
