About the opportunity
As URBAN Shoemakers' energetic and creative Marketing Manager, you will deliver impactful and profitable campaigns and strategies in our expansion to a branded, consumer facing footwear business. At URBAN Shoemakers, you have an exciting opportunity to work directly to create industry-leading marketing magic!
Working in our centrally located Port Melbourne workspace, you’ll love taking the lead on:
STRATEGY
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies, achieving overall business objectives across all channels.
- Partner with leadership to develop sales targets and KPIs across all marketing activities and ensure that these KPIs are met by managing the marketing department.
- Develop a marketing calendar aligning with executive-directed sales goals, ensuring that sales targets are achieved — Capitalise on market trends and consumer behaviours within all revenue-driving avenues
WEBSITE
- Develop marketing & content calendars: EDM calendar and confirm social media calendar to ensure timely and consistent messaging across channels.
- Develop product strategies and product & brand awareness.
- Manage e-commerce websites and E-commerce roles insuring best practices, creatives, customer journey and website positioning
- Optimise and improve UX and customer journeys: EDM build-outs, Flow etc.
- High expertise in data analytics: tracking, reporting and analysing the performance of brand marketing activities and development of brand reporting
- Manage all e-commerce platforms, including new and existing integrated platforms.
DIGITAL
- Manage digital marketing team, communicate ROI target per channel, and use analytical data to make strategic decisions and adjust strategies.
- Manage and oversee all social media, influencers, affiliate marketing and PR activities.
- Work with a marketing team to develop organic social media strategies and advice on best practices.
CAMPAIGN & CREATIVE
- Manage budgets for campaigns, events, marketing team spend and brand activations.
- Manage seasonal photoshoot campaigns, including logistics, budget, and brand collaboration. Oversee photoshoot selections to maintain brand consistency and quality.

Here’s what you’ll need to be successful in this role:
- The permanent right to work in Australia – we’re afraid this is a non-negotiable for this role.
- Strong knowledge of the e-commerce market and marketing strategies. (It’s not a dealbreaker, but we’d love to see experience in the footwear, apparel, or consumer goods industries and a degree in BSc or MSc in Marketing or a relevant field.
- Be highly organised with a strategic mindset to position the brand competitively. You’ll need to understand marketing principles: marketing growth and brand positioning
- Deep understanding of changing market dynamics.
- Strong analytical and reporting abilities to assess market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behaviours
- Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities
- Proficiency in digital marketing channels such as Meta ads, Google Ads, Social Media, EDM marketing, and SEO (Shopify and Klavyio experience mandatory
