At Irizar Asia Pacific we have an opportunity for a Sales and Marketing Manager reporting to the Managing Director, based at our new site in Pakenham VIC. This is due to the existing encumberment deciding to travel, lucky person! This does mean if you are the right person, there will be an opportunity for handover before they leave.
About the opportunity:
This position is crucial for upholding our market position and surpassing customer expectations. As the Sales and Marketing Manager, you'll oversee the entire sales process, from understanding customer needs to setting prices, placing orders at our international plants, and ensuring timely delivery to customers while prioritizing their satisfaction. Additionally, you'll be responsible for analysing factory costs, freight, and local expenses to determine competitive selling prices. Monitoring margins and providing insights into market performance will also be part of your duties.
You'll have the opportunity to showcase your creativity by managing marketing materials, collaborating with external marketing agencies and global partners, and ensuring our presence at industry events reflects our brand identity.
This role is hands-on, requiring meticulous attention to detail and a focus on achieving on-time customer delivery.
You'll need to be comfortable with administrative tasks while we explore system solutions and automation, as you'll play a vital role in selecting and implementing the final solution.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the sales team, offering necessary support to finalize deals effectively.
- Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines.
- Oversee marketing materials, collaborating with external agencies and global partners to maintain brand consistency.
- Ensure the company's presence at bus shows, conferences and events aligns with brand identity and values.
- Implement initiatives to enhance and uphold the organization's image and reputation.
- Review margins and market performance, providing insights to optimize profitability.
- Manage budgets and forecasts to ensure efficient operations.
- Generate comprehensive reports for the Managing Director, illustrating sales performance.
- Prepare documentation for tenders, including legal requirements, technical criteria, timeframe and pricing.
- Ensure compliance with legal regulations and adherence to quality standards.
- Oversee and manage the end-to-end order process for buses within our international plant.
- Coordinate placement of new orders across our Brazilian plant, ensuring alignment with production timelines.
- Manage chassis stock levels, replenishing, when necessary, to support seamless production and customer delivery expectations
- Provide comprehensive support to the factory, addressing product, specification, and customer needs.
- Analyse factory costs, freight expenses, and local costs to determine competitive selling prices.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to speak and understand Portuguese.
- Formal qualifications in Business or Marketing or Bachelor of Science
- Experience in business development, customer management, sales, or related field.
- Have deep knowledge of the order management process, from placing orders on manufacturing plant to delivery of finished product.
- Demonstratable project/schedule management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise projects.
- Possess strong organisational abilities, enabling efficient management of tasks, resources, and time.
- Ability to clearly communicate complex situations to lay people, so that the right outcome is achieved.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to think strategically even while working in the detail.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers and staff both locally and overseas.
- Medium to Advanced skills in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Desirable skills:
- Previous roles in a manufacturing organization.
- Experience with Power BI
