About the opportunityReporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing; this position will oversee and direct all aspects of the marketing activities and actively participate in the strategic direction and growth of revenue for Fairmont Resort Blue Mountains. The Marketing Manager is a key custodian of the hotel and MGallery Collection brand. Critical to this role is the ability to conceptualise, plan and direct all marketing activities through profitable channels with a strong emphasis on digital marketing. Under the general guidance of the Director of Sales & Marketing, and within the limits of established hotel policies and procedures, this role promotes timely, quality, and positive communications in order to achieve budgeted hotel revenue through the development and implementation of an integrated marketing plan. Developing and driving our owned channels, microsite and brand.com website effectiveness will be the key to increasing customer loyalty, attracting new business, and driving conversion.
About you
You will be a highly motivated and engaging individual, experienced in delivering the highest standards of communications. Alongside this you will also have:
- Experience and ideally formal studies in /Marketing or Communications to at least Diploma level
- Exceptional people and communication skills
- The highest level of attention to detail
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills
- Microsoft Office expertise to Intermediate or Advanced level
- A high level of awareness of PR and Communications as an effective tool to gain third party endorsement/referral
- Creativity and imagination
- At least one year experience in a sales or marketing environment
- Experience in preparing, writing and proofing advertising copy
- An affinity with technology in relation to Press Release distribution
- Familiar with Photoshop and other desktop publishing programs
- Have Full working rights in Australia.
