If you are that high energy type, that loves being busy, keeping in front of the latest trends, hacking the social media algorithm and growing followers across all platforms then this is the role for you!
I say that because the person you will be working with is SUPER motivated to not just grow their business, but to help those around them in the process.
Think of them as a highly motivated online personal coach... and you are sort of half way there... this person takes it all to another level in all the right ways!
WHATS THE GO WITH THE ROLE
The meat of this role is to manage a large ongoing marketing calendar of online course launches running in tandem, and the marketing materials for each.
The key aspects of the role are; writing engaging email copy (but if this isn't your bag, that is OK), experience in lead generation, strong eye for detail (we have a test for that below... don't say you weren't warned!), overseeing daily content sharing and working closely with the Content Creator and management team.
In saying that, this role will have a large amount of autonomy in it and you will be given the freedom to run with your ideas.
We can give you a lot more detail in the interview.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE MARKETING TABLE
This is where I put the obligatory list of bullet points to cover off the experience and skills that you need to be successful in this role... so here we go!
- Marketing management experience in a digital business required; in publishing/ or for digital content creator desirable.
- Advanced project management experience gained in a high volume role in agency preferably, although client side will be considered.
- Exceptional copywriting skills (excellent spelling, grammar and attention to detail.) If you don't have this, it isn't a deal breaker!
- Advanced knowledge of all social channels’ metrics and how to influence positive outcomes.
- Experience with lead generation via email and social platforms preferable.
- Experience with Pinterest, YouTube, Instagram and TikTok advantageous.
- Innovative mindset that is geared towards taking the initiative, owning outcomes and constantly iterating to accelerate growth.
- Marketing degree or equivalent experience.
- Portfolio of previous content/copy preferable.
- 8am start (there might be some wiggle room there for the right person).
The fact is the right person for this role will already know this is the right job for them... you are sick of being left with little direction, one hand tied behind your back working on boring projects that just don't seem to be really making a difference.
You are looking for a role with plenty of autonomy but at the same want to have a team around you (but not necessarily having to micro-manage other marketing peeps), you like a chat and to get to know people but also nothing means to you than hitting a deadline ahead of time after nailing the brief!
You will also be well rewarded for your work with this role in both a financial and personal sense... your hard work will always be appreciated and realised.
HMMM... THIS SOUNDS GREAT... WHATS THE CATCH?
The catch is that not everyone is going to be right for this role but if you have read through the above and it looks like you have the skills and attitude then I would love you to apply.
However do not just send through your resume, you have to include a Cover Letter with some examples of some of your most recent work (or links to it).
If you miss the cover letter your application will not be considered, that's my test for your attention to detail... oh wait... you also have to address it to me, Lauren van de Ven, as I am the one recruiting this role.
