Position Title: Marketing Officer
Status: Part Time
Work location: Cottage by the Sea (CBTS), Queenscliff
Organisation: CBTS is a values-based, non-government, not-for-profit organisation that provides accommodation, meals and activities for disadvantaged children and young people in a positive, healthy, seaside environment.
Operating continuously for 134 years, CBTS is one of the oldest children's charities in the country.
We offer children and young people Inspiration, Fun and Opportunity through diverse leisure activities in a wide range of environments.
CBTS has zero tolerance to abuse and is committed to protecting the personal worth, dignity, safety and wellbeing of children and young people within our services.
The Fundraising Team manages all events, relationships with donors, appeals, community fundraising activities, donations, Gifts in Wills and corporate partnerships. This team is integral to Cottage by the Sea, as it generates the essential funds to support operational activity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Big Picture
- Understand the not-for-profit industry and trends.
- Champion the CBTS brand and increase awareness to boost CBTS, ensuring that the CBTS essential position in the marketplace is positively communicated.
- Collaborate with internal team, volunteers, ambassadors, management and external agencies.
- Strategic thinking to help achieve CBTS strategic goals and generating income in innovative and appropriate ways.
Operational
- Drive quality traffic to website through various organic and paid acquisition channels, reporting on which channels are producing high engagement and donations.
- Collaborate with our in-house Communications Officer to create and coordinate content for innovative and effective marketing campaigns that increases our visibility among stakeholders and encourages donations and awareness.
- Create reels, videos, IG stories and other content for our digital platforms.
- Assess and report on the success of marketing campaigns (including campaign EDMs)
PROFESSIONAL TRAITS:
The successful applicant will be data-driven, comfortable with implementing new ideas, testing strategies and including digital, creative and strategic thinking into CBTS's marketing.
