About the Unit
The Marketing and Communications Unit (MCU) takes the lead in developing strategies and relationships to build the UTS brand in order to achieve its desired prominence in the marketplace.
About the Team
The Marketing and Communication Partnerships team works with the Faculties/Schools to meet their marketing and communication requirements in terms of reputation management & lead generation.
About the Roles
We have two full-time, fixed term Marketing Officer positions available.
Both based within the Marketing and Communication Partnerships team:
- One Marketing Officer role supports our UTS Business School (Fixed term until June 2025)
- One Marketing Officer role supports our team in the Faculty of Engineering and IT (Fixed term parental leave cover until October 2025)
While the roles are part of the MCU team, each respective position is embedded in either the Faculty of Engineering and IT or the UTS Business School - and are responsible for effectively promoting and enhancing the image and reputation of the Faculty/School, through the development and implementation of marketing plans and corporate identity strategy.
About the Role
The Marketing Officer is responsible for developing and coordinating all aspects of marketing including digital content strategy and analysis, marketing materials and collateral, digital assets, campaign content and events and promotions for the purposes of reputation development, and social media coordination for their nominated Faculty/School and for prioritised MCU-led initiatives.
If successful in applying for this role, you will be responsible for:
- Planning and implementation of marketing activities
- Running advertising campaigns and briefing agencies
- Digital marketing via website, social, search and other digital media including content creation
- Database management, reporting and analysis
- Some event management and support
- Project Administration and Coordination for MCU wide initiatives
With examples, please outline within your Cover Letter, how you meet following four (4) key selection criteria points below:
- Demonstrates a strong level of interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, including the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and manage time.
- Demonstrated project coordination skills to conduct activities associated with the implementation, review and assessment of projects
- Knowledge of digital marketing principles, including campaign design, customer journeys, performance measurement, evaluation and reporting.
Remuneration & Benefits
Base Salary Range: $92,851 to $100,534 pa (HEW 6)
This role attracts 17% superannuation in addition to the base salary.
