We are seeking a professional and experienced Inventory & Warehouse Officer to join our company to support the 3PL warehousing operation. The role will be predominately focused on inventory administration & accuracy.
Do you have a strong background with 3PL Warehousing and FMCG delivering to major grocery retailers?
Your focus will be to undertake and coordinate activities that help our operation maintain an optimal standard of inventory management / control.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager AU/NZ, you will be based in our Sydney, Northern beaches office but will also be required to regularly visit our 3PL warehouse in Horsley Park and must therefore have a valid driver’s license and your own vehicle.
Responsibilities
- Manage freight-forwarder and continuously drive change with a view to have enhanced visibility on incoming stock.
- Manage inbound processes between the freight forwarder and the 3PL warehouse.
- Prioritize inbound containers to optimize stock availability.
- Stakeholder communication
- Stock receipting
- Inventory reporting
- Cycle count reconciliation & management
- Returns management
- Inventory rework
- Investigating stock returns, delivery issues and orders lost in transit. for customers and or the sales team.
- Work with AR team to investigate customer credit claims.
- Visit the warehouse to inspect damages, check cycle count variances, missing stock, Customer Returns, tidiness of pick-faces, resolve outstanding issues and communicate expected levels of performance.
- Assist Supply Chain Manager with DIFOT compliance/non-compliance as required.
- Other ad hoc duties, reports etc. as required by the Supply Chain Manager
Requirements
- Previous experience in 3PL warehousing environment.
- Bonus: experience in ambient FMCG environment.
- Experience in the management / operation of inventory systems, procedure and practices.
- Experience in managing or coordinating cyclical and annual stock takes across a large SKU base.
- An understanding of logistics and service level measurements relevant to grocery retailers
- Strong MS Excels skills to populate, manipulate and understand data.
- SAP ERP experience would be an advantage.
- Ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
