Driveline Services Australia is an Australian owned and operated automotive aftermarket company specialising in the manufacture, export, import, supply and distribution of a comprehensive range of underbody parts and services for passenger, performance, 4WD, truck, bus, agricultural and mining equipment. We are a growing company with over 40 years of industry experience that now operates thirteen branches stretching along the eastern seaboard of Australia from Townsville to Tasmania and across the country to Perth.
The company is currently seeking experienced Materials Engineers for our locations in Brisbane, Sydney and potentially other company branches to help build these facilities into key suppliers to the local mining, automotive and transport industries.
The positions will be involved with contributing to the continued growth and development of the company by providing outstanding customer service within an existing workshop environment through investigation of the properties of metals and other materials and to assess and develop their engineering and commercial applications.
A key component of the roles will be to investigate the properties of materials and components suitable for tailshaft applications, considering factors such as strength, durability and performance, and assess and develop their engineering and commercial applications.
Essential qualifications are a Certificate IV or equivalent engineering qualification or at least four years full-time experience. The successful applicant must have previous relevant experience and be a motivated and energetic individual able to work productively with others in a hands-on, small team environment and be flexible, self-sufficient, practical and able to meet deadlines.
Training will be provided as required, however the ability to learn quickly and work unsupervised with a positive work ethic is essential. A proven ability to safely and consistently produce quality workmanship is a priority. You will also require full-time working rights in Australia, a high standard of attention to detail, the ability to manage your time effectively and be willing to follow all company and Work Health and Safety procedures. A valid Australian forklift licence and manual vehicle licence are highly desirable.
