About the role 

Join our dedicated team as a Maternal and Child Health Nurse (Enhanced) and make a significant impact in supporting vulnerable families and promoting Child Health, safety, and development within our community-focused service. 

What You Will Deliver 

  • Provide child-centred, family-focused outreach services to vulnerable families. 
  • Deliver an Enhanced Maternal and Child Health program within established guidelines. 
  • Offer intensive support for families experiencing vulnerabilities and early parenting challenges. 
  • Monitor and promote the physical, emotional, and cognitive development of children aged 0-3 years. 
  • Collaborate with families to set goals and implement action plans for improved outcomes. 
  • Offer professional counselling and referrals for a range of family-related issues. 

What You Will Bring 

  • Current AHPRA Registration as Division 1 Nurse and Midwife. 
  • Post Graduate Qualifications in Child & Family Health recognized in Victoria. 
  • Experience in Maternal & Child Health nursing, particularly with vulnerable populations. 
  • Excellent communication and engagement skills, fostering effective relationships with families and stakeholders. 
  • Strong knowledge of child behaviour, development, and family dynamics, including diversity considerations. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and align with Council's values of Teamwork, Respect, and Accountability. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and adhere to professional guidelines and policies.
