- Demonstrate an ability to act as an advocate for midwifery in a broad context and across disciplines using positive role modelling and adherence to corporate values.
- Demonstrate leadership and management capability through the expressed knowledge of team engagement and human, financial, and material resource management principles applicable to operational planning, coordination and evaluation of services including the Business Planning Framework.
- Demonstrate advanced clinical evidence-based skill and knowledge in midwifery, service coordination and interdisciplinary care management, evidenced by feedback, recency of practice and achieved clinical competencies.
- Provide effective and efficient management of service in collaboration with the Director of Nursing & Midwifery/Facility Manager, clinical and non-clinical staff to facilitate the provision of quality evidence-based care.
- Accountable for providing sound professional leadership in dealing with significant issues related to assessment, planning, review, evaluation, and coordination of service programs in a defined practice area for groups and individuals with diverse requirements.
- Effectively manage self and, in collaboration with Nurse Educators and other Nurse Unit Managers/Clinical Nurse Consultants develop staff to enable fulfilment of role responsibilities.
