4WD Mechanic
4WD systems is a leading Australian manufacturer and distributor of 4WD aftermarket products - Est. in 1987
In 2024 we expanded our workshops, offices and warehousing to our new site at Magill, 5 hoists, air conditioned workshop, hot wash bay, onsite fabrication and will be building two additional buildings onsite in the future.
We are seeking a fully qualified mechanic - either a younger person with a passion for 4WD's, or a senior mechanic who has experience and an interest in 4WD's.
An apprenticeship for someone with genuine Australian 4WD experience might also be considered as well as this position
The role; is a diverse range of 4WD vehicle related repairs, servicing, accessory and new product fitting, development including fuel tanks.
Fitment of "Lokka" diff locks which we manufacture and export worldwide, turbo, intercooler and other performance equipment manufactured by us.
The workshop is actively involved in performance diesel upgrades - fuel injection (common rail & direct injection), our own HP intercoolers and turbo systems, fuel pump & injector upgrades, ECU replacement and tuning, exhaust systems and cold air intakes. Most upgrades are dynotuned.
We are a Premium Armax distributor (SA Dealer of the Year 2022).
We work closely with many of Australia's leading brands - eg GTurbo, Armax, Diesel central, Harrop, Lokka, Torquit, Maxxis, Stedi, Nitro, Method, MCC, Warn, Safari etc
As a federally licenced SSM (Second Stage Manufacture) Facility we are involved in pre registration GVM upgrades including chassis modification, coil and axle conversions, GVM upgrades and comprehensive pre delivery fitouts.
Regular workshop duties include;
- Diesel injection, diagnostics and repair
- Turbo upgrades, fuel pump and Intercooler systems
- 4WD Servicing and mining fleet maintenance
- Front end and differential overhauls and upgrades
- Engine performance rebuilds
- Suspension and general accessory fitting
- Engine conversions & Engine rebuilding
- Full vehicle builds (GVMs, coil conversion, canopies, track correction etc)

Conditions; Mon-Fri working hours
Remuneration is based on experience.
Located 10 minutes East of the CBD in Magill on a prominent 3 street frontage
