Your new role:
We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Designer to join our talented Engineering team.
Key responsibilities of the role are:
- Understanding our customers’ needs and requirements, ensuring our tailored solutions address their technical needs
- Participate with lead engineers and the mechanical team to deliver competent technical outcomes
- Support the implementation of innovative and fit for purpose concepts and solutions
- Competently taking ownership of concepts and turning them into design solutions from start to finish within time, budget and quality constraints.
- Following design standards and processes to achieve professional and complete outcomes that meet requirements as defined in applicable customer specifications.
- Design for Manufacture and produce clear and accurate workshop drawings
- Support our inhouse fabrication, machining, and assembly teams to solve problems and continually improve
- Provide commission support and test our equipment at our workshop and at the customers site
- Produce clear and accurate documentation for our customers to troubleshoot and maintain the equipment into the future.
About You:
As an ideal candidate you will have:
- Tertiary qualification in engineering (mechanical, mechatronics or similar) or significant engineering design/detailing experience.
- Significant previous CAD platform experience (Inventor, SolidWorks or similar)
- Strong aptitude – across mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation
- Creative and considered problem solving skills and a detailed approach to your work
- Team orientation.
