BTT Engineering is an automotive engineering consultancy, specialising in commercial vehicle and trailer engineering design/FEA, compliance approvals, compliance testing, modification certification and failure analysis.

About the role
We have the current opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis with at minimum 5 years of industry experience post graduation.
Only candidates with experience with Australian vehicle regulations, compliance homologation and good 3D CAD skills are encouraged to apply
- Manage projects and organise workflow;
- Liaise with clients;
- Mentor junior engineers;
- Understand and interpret rules/standards and regulations.
Skills and experience
- A sound understanding of the Australian Design Rules, VSB6, VSB14 and relevant Australian, International and jurisdictional vehicle rules, regulations and standards which apply to the automotive industry is essential.
- Vehicle homologation and/or compliance
- Permanent, unrestricted Australian working rights (please no temporary visas);
- Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Engineering (specifically in a mechanical capacity);
- MIEAust with an RPEng or CPEng accreditation (highly regarded and beneficial to the role);
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills;
- Highly motivated individual with a "can-do" attitude.
