We are growing and are currently seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our team in regional Victoria. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining machinery and troubleshooting mechanical equipments to ensure optimal functionality and minimize downtime. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for optimization, develop project plans and implement solutions to drive efficiency, quality and safety.

- Conduct regular inspections of the equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical problems and implement solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance equipment reliability, efficiency, and safety through design modifications or process enhancements.
- Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to source spare parts and equipment as needed, ensuring timely repairs and replacements.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and equipment performance.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in Mechanical engineering to recommend and implement innovative solutions.
- Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and reduce downtime.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance or repair tasks as required.
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
- Previous work experience as a Mechanical Engineer in maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical equipment.
- Knowledge of safety standards and manufacturer specifications for machinery installation and maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent record-keeping and documentation abilities.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience in providing training and guidance to maintenance technicians and operators.
