Mechanical Engineer
About Client:
Louie's Security, a security company based in Willetton, Western Australia, is recognized as one of the most experienced and reliable companies in Perth. They offer a variety of solutions, including windows and glass, security doors, and security screens, all available in a range of colors and styles to complement any décor.
Looking for:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and devices. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Roles & responsibilities:
• Designing and developing new security products, including windows security screens, hinged security doors, and sliding security doors.
• Testing and evaluating the performance of existing products and identifying areas for improvement.
• Developing standards and policies for installation, modification, quality control, testing, inspection, and maintenance.
• Conducting regular maintenance checks, and carrying out quality control and testing to ensure compliance with the established standards.
• Examining production plans and expenses in order to identify the most effective means of maximizing worker and equipment productivity.
• Maintaining and repairing security doors, windows and parts related, and diagnose and fix any mechanical problems to ensure that they operate efficiently and safely.
• Developing a plan to effectively coordinate and supervise the workforce, as well as oversee the transportation and delivery of necessary materials, and tools for the project's successful completion.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets, and provide regular updates to the team and management.
• Conduct mechanical testing and evaluation to verify that designs meet design specifications and customer requirements.
• Prepare detailed design drawings and specifications, and review drawings and specifications for accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with other engineers to ensure that designs are optimized for manufacturability, assembly, and serviceability.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, trends, and industry standards, and apply this knowledge to enhance product designs and development processes.
Skills & Attributes:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in mechanical design and development.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Demonstrated experience in conducting mechanical testing and evaluation.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Job Type & Salary:
• This is a permanent full time job.
• The salary will be $75,000 to $85,000 + Superannuation.
Working Hours:
The capacity to work flexible hours, such as weekends and evenings, is required.
