My client based in Perth are seeking a confident Mechanical Engineer to join their team.
The ideal candidate will hold 3-5 years experience working with an OEM providing quality mechanical design and engineering capabilities for new capital equipment builds/jobs
- Abide by all legislative obligations & company policies and procedures
- Contribute to maintaining product standardisation across the range of engineered equipment and assist in the development of standard systems of work that maximise efficiency
- Maintain control over job related engineering and design costs
- Participate in product rationalisation and cost reduction activities
- Brief drafting resources and external engineering/design resources to achieve commercial and technical objectives
- Maintain effective client relationships, advising and interfacing with client representatives on design and risk management decisions
- Communicate continually with the Engineering Manager, other Mechanical Engineers and technical personnel to identify,
communicate and manage design/technical risks & assumptions, as well as financial and commercial risks
- Communicate with and provide technical advice or training to Project Managers, Capital Sales Engineers, Estimators and
tradespersons as required
- Perform various mechanical equipment engineering and design tasks at all job phases, from initial client enquiry/bid through to
installation, commissioning and site support
- Assist Capital Sales in standard product selection and where required, in the development of high level/conceptual designs to
support tenders and bids/proposals
- Ensure compliance with relevant Australian /International and company standards across the entire engineering and design
process
