Wood is recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Perth. This is a long-term opportunity to join our expanding Oil and Gas Operations team, supporting one of our existing key clients on a significant brownfields engineering project in the LNG industry. This is a permanent role and is available as full-time / part-time (job share) basis.
Wood's Operations APAC (West) business delivers brownfields engineering, procurement, construction, optimization, and technical services to the Oil & Gas sector and enjoys long-term partnerships with the region's most prominent producers located in Western Australia, Northern Territory, Southeast Asia, and Kazakhstan.
Reporting to the Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will be working with both the Client and Wood teams directly utilizing Wood and Client systems. To be successful in your role, you will have 2-5 years' experience within the Offshore LNG, Oil & Gas sectors within an EPCM engineering or maintenance project environment exposure. Experience within offshore facilities would be preferred, however onshore experience is also acceptable.

Ideally, you will be a qualified engineer with a Mechanical Engineering degree and have:
- Experience as a Mechanical Engineer with 2 to 5 years in the Australian Oil &Gas sector
- Experience in an Offshore site environment with exposure to inspection campaigns
- Prior experience within the Oil & Gas industry is preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with the client
- Effective time management skills and ability to prioritise
