We are currently seeking a trade qualified & experienced Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our maintenance team in Central Qld.
The Successful applicant will possess the following:
• Australian Recognised Trade Certificate/qualifications or Equivalent
• Minimum 2 years post trade experience as a Mechanical Engineering Technician
• Standard 11 - or willingness to obtain
• Coal Board Medical - or willingness to obtain
• Full Qld Drivers License – HR preferred or willingness to obtain
• Experience on Caterpillar & Komatsu mining equipment
• High Risk License (WAH, EWP ) – or willingness to obtain
• Strong ability to diagnose and fault find
• Strong focus on safety
• Flexibility with working hours
• The ability to work autonomously as well as within a team environment
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Clean and tidy work habits
Your duties will consist of, but not be limited to the following key areas:
· Diagnose faults and complaints with mechanical systems.
· Conduct mechanical repairs, including and not limited to, assembly and installation of engines, gearbox, transmission, diff, braking systems, suspension components.
· Drawing of components for fabrication. Access systems, mounting of accessories and or safety equipment.
· Assembly and installation of new and modified machinery/components.
· Selecting the right grade of material and techniques to use for manufacture to ensure it suits the environment it is intended to be used in.
· Using the correct tools and equipment for the task
· Conduct estimates for mechanical repairs.
· Collect oil samples for condition monitoring as well as testing and fault-finding mechanical elements of machinery.
· Use Diagnostic computer equipment to analyse fault data codes and analyse schematic drawings to find electrical faults.
· Organise and oversee planned maintenance and inspection activities.
· Perform quality analysis, as well as reporting and documenting repairs and inspections carried out.
· Ensuring that finished work is within specifications, regulations and contract provisions.
· Undertaking training on new equipment as required.

While this position is predominately mine site based there will be a requirement from time to time to work at other locations. You will receive an attractive remuneration package, base salary on offer: $100,000 – $120,000
