Position Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the assembly, installation, maintenance, and repair of conveyor systems and associated equipment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with cutting-edge technology and to contribute to the success of our clients' operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble and install conveyor systems according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance and reliability of conveyor systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization of conveyor systems.
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment at all times.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment inventory.

Qualifications:

• Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade 
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or similar role, preferably in the conveyor industry.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in using hand and power tools.
• Familiarity with reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Commitment to safety and compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Proven experience with installation and maintenance a variety of conveyor scrapers and ploughs.
