Mechanical Project Engineer

Are you an experienced Mechanical project engineer seeking a long temp contract on a large scale construction project?
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Engineer to join our client for an exciting project involving the decommissioning of a power station located in Kwinana.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in planning, coordinating, and executing various mechanical aspects of the decommissioning process, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgetary constraints, and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to develop and execute comprehensive decommissioning plans
• Support project manager during decommissioning, demolition, site remediation phases
• Conduct thorough assessments of mechanical systems, equipment, and infrastructure within the power station to identify potential hazards, risks, and environmental considerations.
• Manage contract package budget in execution phase- may range in order of AUD $1-$10 million

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Understanding of decommissioning/ demolition/ site remediation
• 5-8 years of experience in project/ contract management, engineering, and construction environment.
