Based in Mackay, this is a permanent opportunity, working a 7/7 even time roster.
Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor, you will support a variety of customers, ensuring they receive the highest quality service, for their Caterpillar machinery, specifically Draglines and Electric Rope Shovels. Mine site experience is essential, as this position will be required to work at various mine site locations within the Central Queensland region, servicing, repairing, and maintaining Caterpillar mining equipment. The work will need to comply to Dealership standards with a high quality of workmanship and completion in a timely manner.
The key responsibilities of this role will include but not be limited to:
- Support a variety of customers, servicing, repairing, and maintaining their Caterpillar mining equipment.
- Research and consult the correct and latest service information systems for specific procedures, instructions and specifications
- Take all reasonable steps to ensure repairs are carried out using the appropriate control guidelines. This is to include check sheets, quality control procedures and guidelines
- Complete all repairs and maintenance in a safe and timely manner
- Ensure the quality of your work is of the highest standards at all times
- Plan and organize daily service requirements
- Maintain and complete all paperwork associated with job completion
- Monitor workflows and time to maximize efficiency and productivity
- Identify possible areas of wastage and work towards continuous improvement
About You
You will bring the following skills and experience to the role:
- Trade Qualification – Certificate III Engineering (Mechanical Fitting) is essential
- 3 to 5 years’ post trade experience in a similar role within a diversified Company
- Previous experience working on Draglines and Electric Rope Shovels
- Computer literacy and experience in Caterpillar systems
- Committed to a No Harm Environment
- Ability to maintain a safe and clean workspace
- A continuous Improvement commitment and positive attitude towards change
- Physically fit to pass a Pre-Employment Medical + D&A Screening
- A proficient & motivated work ethic
- Ability to work within a team and unsupervised
- Well-developed communication skills
