As the Unify Services Field Technician, you will ensure that the integrity of the NBN Network is maintained to the highest quality standards through efficient use of your skills and experience in appropriate work practices, contributing to the financial success of Service Stream!
Position: Permanent, Full-Time
Reporting Lead: Field Service Manager
Location: Brisbane, Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a full range of Fibre to the X Installation and Maintenance work from the Pit through to customer’s premises (socket) (FTTP, FDIAD)
- Perform appropriate tests to verify service activation and rectify faults
- Maintain records and undertake routine administrative tasks as required
- Perform all specified duties under the Service Stream Management System, as defined in Management System Responsibilities
- Be able to interpret the meaning of complex written, verbal and diagrammatic procedures to a high order
- Ensure all staff are clearly instructed on procedures and practices
- Produce results on time and within budget
- Analyse defective work practices and negotiate and implement appropriate corrective action.
Skills and Experience
- A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in telephony and or broadband Installation and maintenance, carrying out similar responsibilities
- Possess a sound technical knowledge of the relevant network and related work practices used by Service Stream and its clients
- Be Familiar with DBYD, ATLAS, SMAX and Enable
- Certificate III in Telecommunications – or Previous Knowledge
- Open “C” Class Motor Vehicle Licence – Australian equivalent to be obtained through Service Stream Training
- Current drivers’ licence to enable site visits
- 1st Aid, Traffic Management, Non-Friable Asbestos, White Card, and Confined Space Training, Working at Heights, Identify, Locate, Protect Underground Services.
