The right applicant will ideally:
- Have previous experience as a Medical Administrator ideally working within a private surgical specialist practice.
- Be well presented, friendly, flexible and efficient, enjoy working in a small team.
- Have excellent written & oral communication skills and strong customer focus
- Have strong competency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Be experienced with the use of medical admin software. (Genie/Gentu, highly desirable, Clinic to Cloud, Xestro)
- Have excellent phone manner.
- Be able to work in a small team environment and autonomously if required.
- Outstanding attention to detail.
- An ability to adapt to individual work styles and varying situations, with a flexible approach to work
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
Key duties and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
- Prepare and run patient clinics
- Manage incoming telephone calls and general patient enquiries
- Manage incoming patient correspondence and liaise closely with the surgeons and specialists to ensure patients are seen in a prompt manner
- Booking patient appointments, procedures and organising theatre lists
- Invoicing and receipting of patient consultations, including theatre procedures (using Genie/Gentu/Clinic to Cloud/Xestro and Eclipse billing platforms)
- Liaising with Hospital staff, Pathology, Imaging.
- All general front desk reception, secretarial and administration support to the surgeon/specialists as required.
