We are looking for highly motivated and experienced individuals seeking a role in a busy Specialist Surgical Practice. We are in a great location north of the river, across from SJOG Hospital Subiaco, in Wembley and close to public transport.
Hours: 8am - 5pm, weekdays. No weekend or after-hours work. We are seeking additional full- time ( 38hr week) or part- time, permanent staff due to maternity leave.

The position/s are permanent with training & support available from experienced long-term staff. All our clinical staff have been with our company for over 10 years. Scope for further education/ training courses available.
Principal responsibilities:- Being the face and voice of our Specialist Surgical Practice
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, suppliers, other health providers and hospital staff
- Managing phone, mail and email enquiries and assisting with patient queries in a professional manner
- Booking patient consultation and surgery appointments
- Hospital surgical bookings – managing hospital theatre lists/bookings and liaising with anaesthetists and hospitals
- Accurate patient record management – entering data and scanning documents in Genie software
- Processing billing and payments – including Private Health Funds, Medicare, DVA
- Maintaining running of clinic suite - ordering office/ clinical supplies
- Maintaining information confidentiality at all times
Good Communication Skills/Professionalism
- Minimum 3 years experience in a specialist practice or in a similar role/industry- specialist medical or dental practice preferred
- Staff who are reliable, professional and enjoy working independently, actively and effectively within a small and dedicated team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Advanced Organisational Skills and Multi-Tasking
- Experience with Genie practice management software and Inteleviewer preferred as we are essentially a “paperless practice”
- Good knowledge of EFTPOS, Medicare, DVA, Eclipse and Private Health Fund billing
- Advanced Mac computer skills & Microsoft Office Suite skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills, attention to detail and time management and enjoy a busy environment
- Ability to learn new tasks & provide accurate information to patients and referrers, demonstrate initiative and “apply common sense”
