What you'll be doing
Assist the Network Director of Physician Training in ISLHD for a networked programme of Basic Physician Training in NSW.
The programme of Networked Basic Physician Training was developed at the request of the NSW Minister for Health, co-ordinated by the Health Education and Training Institute in association with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP), NSW Health, NSW Local Health Districts, clinician trainers and physicians trainees.
The aim of the programme is to ensure that the delivery of basic physician training in NSW is:
- of the highest quality
- sustainable
- transparent; and
- in accordance with RACP training requirements and clinical service need.
The role of the NSW Network Oversight Committee is to monitor the effectiveness of the training networks in terms of the provision of high quality training and equitable distribution of the trainee workforce across the training networks.
All NSW Health workers are required to have completed an up-to-date course of a COVID-19 vaccine (2 doses) which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Please provide proof of vaccination if available.

Selection Criteria * Experience in and broad knowledge of the healthcare system and an understanding of EEO and WHS principles.
- Good oral and written communication skills, including the capacity to prepare high quality reports, briefings, submissions, business cases and correspondence.
- Demonstrated analytical skills, both verbal and quantitative; an ability to coordinate, monitor and evaluate training programs. Effective skills in office systems, including word processing and spread sheet packages.
- Strong organisational skills and proven experience in the management of complex projects and multiple tasks in a timely manner and to meet assigned deadlines. Previous experience in the coordination and development of education programs.
- Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in adult education, and demonstrated experience of financial procedures.
- Experience in organising meetings and supporting committees, including preparation and distribution of papers.
- Evidence of capacity to work with minimal direction, to undertake a diverse range of tasks, work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and work as an effective member of a team in a high pressure, high volume work environment.
- Current drivers licence and ability to undertake some rural travel.
