About the Role
We are seeking a confident, organised and efficient Financial Assistant with proven medical billing experience. This role is a permanent part-time position and we are happy to negotiate hours for the right candidate. You will be working from our contemporary, award winning Angas Street rooms in the city that is currently expanding and developing shiny new offices on the first floor.
This is a vital role and as part of the finance team you will assist in managing (and improving) our practice’s billing processes which include;
- Overseeing all patient billing for practitioners and the day hospital to ensure they are completed accurately
- Reconciling complex payment rejections
- Undertaking patient account recovery functions (in liaison with the Finance Department)
- Providing training and upskilling to the administration team on the MBS and other billing matters
About You
You will be a bit of a whizz, confident in Medicare billing practices, most likely from experience working within a medical practice setting or similar. You’ll also be patient and persistent - you know resolving billing/claiming issues with Medicare and Health Funds can sometimes take a while. Your detail-oriented nature means you are extremely organised, with the ability to prioritise busy workloads and manage multiple demands within required timeframes. You are an excellent communicator and share your knowledge to your colleagues helping to build their skill level and accuracy too.
Salary & Benefits
The position is offered full time with no weekends required. We are happy to negotiate a part-time position for a superstar candidate.
