Eastern Health
Eastern Health is one of Melbourne’s largest public health services, welcoming Junior Medical staff into a supportive and stimulating workplace. At Eastern Health, interns will have the opportunity to experience acute, sub- acute, mental health and rural hospital rotations based on their allocations. All Interns will be required to rotate to at least two Eastern Health sites dependant on the configuration of their allocated rotation. This may include a combination of; Box Hill Hospital, Maroondah Hospital, Angliss Hospital, Peter James Centre and our rural partner Bairnsdale Regional Health Service.
Successful applicants will have the opportunity to review and preference 70 rotation options, with configurations that ensure all core rotations of emergency, surgical and general medicine are completed. These are complimented by our range of non-core rotations that round out the selection. Our non-core rotations include Mental Health (Adult, Aged Adult, Adolescent, Consultation Liaison, Psychiatry Access, and Psychiatry Community Youth roles), Renal Medicine, Orthopaedics, Rehabilitation and Aged Care.
Eastern Health takes pride in its robust intern program that ensures exposure to a broad clinical experience and assist you in your transition from provisional registration to general registration over the 12-month internship subject to meeting the satisfactory completion of PMCV requirements.
