About the Role
Your primary duties will be in the Histopathology section of the department. The successful candidate after appropriate training will also rotate through various sections of the Anatomical Pathology laboratory and be responsible for the routine processing of specimens according to established and documented laboratory procedures.
Histopathology Primary duties include:
- Specimen setup
- Block Embedding/Block Sectioning
- Section Recuts
- Slide Staining etc.

Classifications for this position will range from classification range BU3 to BU8 ($61,672 - $73,383 per annum).
Your Contribution
The suitable candidate will posses a relevant Diploma of Laboratory Technology, Diploma of Science or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years laboratory experience in a Histopathology Diagnostic Laboratory
- Good knowledge of routine laboratory practice and techniques
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain

Our laboratory is committed to providing the most comprehensive range of diagnostic services available, it is N.A.T.A. and R.C.P.A. accredited. The consultants are specialists in a wide range of histological and cytopathological investigations. They are supported by medical scientists with considerable experience in all areas of Anatomical Pathology.
