Apex Radiology provides comprehensive Radiology and Tele-radiology services to private medical facilities, public hospitals, WACHS (Western Australia Country Health Service) and also operates a series of stand-alone medical imaging practices across Western Australia.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Apex Radiology is seeking a part-time Receptionist to join our comprehensive practice based in Metro South Perth, offering a range of imaging services including: MRI, CT, X-ray, Ultrasound and Interventional Radiology.
Your responsibilities will include:
- First impression of the practice as you meet and greet patients at the front desk.
- Answer the telephone and respond to patient enquiries in an efficient and sensitive manner
- Make a patient booking while maximising appointment slots
- Inform the patient of relevant preparation, exam cost, and requirement to present relevant concession cards.
- Registering patient referrals on arrival and departure ensuring accounts are settled
- Batching Medicare and Veterans claims daily where necessary
ABOUT YOU
- Previous Medical Receptionist experience - Medical Imaging or GP or Allied Health
- Experience using patient entry or bookings system highly regarded
- Excellent interpersonal skills in order to show patients care, compassion and empathy
- Understanding of medical imaging terminology
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
- Excellent keyboard skills for data entry into RIS system
- EFTPOS and cash handling skills

This is a PART TIME role, working a 9 day fortnight with every second Wednesday off, rostered between 8am-4pm or 9:15am -5:15pm, Monday to Friday with the occasional Saturday.
