Aegis Health is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist (Senior) to join Aegis Health Medical Centre in delivering the Aegis Vision:
To serve the community, guiding people in their journey to health and wellness by supporting the mind, body, and spirit.
The Aegis Group has established a Healthcare Hub, at the new Murdoch Square Health and Knowledge Precinct, in the southern suburbs of Perth. The Medical Centre forms part of a purpose-designed Hub aiming to seamlessly integrate a full range of services in one location.
About the Role
The Medical Receptionist must provide high quality medical administration to maintain utmost patient care. Whilst ensuring relevant practice policies and procedures are complied with. The Medical Receptionist will be expected to maintain a collaborative, courteous and supportive manner at all times, with patients and the practice team. Whilst upholding and promoting the Aegis health brand philosophy, values, vision, and mission.
About You
You should ideally be an experienced self-motivated, ethical & dedicated professional. Possess strong problem solving and analytical skills. You should have good organisational skills, with exceptional communications (both written & verbal) and strong interpersonal skills.
The responsibilities of this role encompass:
- Participates as a supportive team member in decision making and acts within the limits of their own authority, knowledge, experience, and scope of practice.
- Offering comprehensive medical administrative support to doctors, practice manager, and practice staff members as needed.
- Develop the ability to co-ordinate the daily activities of the service with support from practice team and practice administration team. (Multi-tasking)
- Maintaining the confidentiality and privacy of patients and their records at all times in accordance with privacy legislation and Practice policies/procedures.
- Supports and liaises with consumers, colleagues, medical, nursing, allied health, support staff, external agencies, and peer support workforce to provide multidisciplinary and holistic approach of care to consumers.
- Provide an empathetic and efficient first contact customer service experience for patients and visitors,
- ensuring everyone is acknowledged in a professional, friendly, helpful, and culturally appropriate manner,
- using discretion, diplomacy.
You need to possess the following essential qualifications, skills & knowledge:
Essential:
- Knowledge in Medical terminology
- Basic knowledge about Australian health system
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Basic accounting knowledge
- Proficient in Best practice software
Desirable:
- CPR/First aid skills
Credentialing criteria:
- Verification of eligibility to work in Australia.
- Identification check validation.
- Police check clearance.
- Working with Children (WWC) check.
