AddressMedical Receptionist weekdays (approx. 37 hours long term) – Burwood Family Doctors Sydney NSW
Our independent friendly general medical practice seeks a motivated, energetic, well-spoken and organised receptionist to join our team for the long term.
The position is for 3 full weekdays and 2 half days between Mon and Fri
- 815 am to 6pm (45min lunch break) for the 3 full days
- 815am to 1.15pm for the 2 half days
with longer hours negotiable for the suitable candidate.
The position is expected to be available in June 2024 with training available to commence as soon as is possible for the successful applicant.
Previous experience in a similar role and a basic familiarity with medical terminology is preferred (knowledge of Best Practice would be an advantage). Computer skills are essential.
Applicants must possess a pleasant and polite manner, good communication skills, the ability to be organised and to work with a busy but friendly team, and a highly professional attitude.
Fluent English is an essential requirement; a second language skill is welcome.
General duties include but are not restricted to greeting and registering patients, managing appointments, answering telephone calls and enquiries, billing patients, liaison with Medicare and support services, filing/scanning/emailing/faxing/managing patient records (mainly computerised but some paper files), managing daily mail, accounts and banking, stocktaking and ordering of medical /office supplies, with other general office duties such as tidying and cleaning.
A willingness to learn and to take instruction, the ability to multi-task effectively, and a desire to have a long-term role in our surgery are very important.
We are located on Burwood Road, Burwood, opposite Burwood Park.
