As we continue to grow and serve our community, we are seeking a motivated and friendly individual to join our team as a Medical Receptionist for approximately 15 hours per week.
As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, playing a crucial role in creating a welcoming and organized environment within our facility. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Greeting and arriving patients with a warm and friendly demeanour
- Answering phone calls and scheduling appointments efficiently and accurately
- Managing patient registration and updating demographic information as needed
- Processing patient payments
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the reception area
- Collaborating with Doctors and nursing staff to ensure smooth patient flow and exceptional customer service
- Assisting with administrative tasks such as emailing, faxing, and data entry as required
- Liaise with other medical providers
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
- Knowledge in Best Practice, Word & Excel software preferred
- Knowledge of Medicare and DVA billing procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work and as part of a team and independently
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Hold a current CPR certificate
