We are looking for an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our small specialist practice. This is a great opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Medical Receptionist to work in a part-time role for Dr Aseel Alkiaat.

ABOUT SOUTHBANK O &G

Southbank Obstetrics & Gynaecology is a specialist practice located in the Wexford Centre at St John of God Murdoch Hospital. 

The perfect candidate will be job-sharing with another part-time Medical Receptionist and will be working 2 – 3 days a week. Applicants must be able to cover sick and holiday leave, and maternity leave. Flexibility to cover annual leave, sick leave and maternity leave is not negotiable and therefore the applicant will need to consider this position as their primary employment.

GENERAL RECEPTION AND ADMINISTRATION DUTIES INCLUDE: 

Booking and confirming patient appointments

Scheduling theatre bookings

Answering telephone calls and email enquiries

Coordinating busy patient clinics

Processing patient billing-invoicing and receipting

Communicating with other health professionals and hospitals

ESSENTIAL QUALITIES: 

Attention to detail. 

Available to cover leave and sick leave when required.

Familiarity with Genie/Gentu practice software.

Well-developed time management and organizational skills.

Professional and discrete manner.

Excellent people skills, relating well to patients, staff and other health professionals.

Ability to multitask and adapt quickly.

High level interpersonal and communication skills written and verbal.

Demonstrated high degree of computer literacy.

Previous medical reception experience of at least 4 years in a specialist practice is essential.
