The Opportunity
Our client is seeking to employ a Medical Receptionist to join its busy practice in Subiaco, supporting multiple specialists.
You will need to attend the consulting rooms where the specialists see patients. In addition to Subiaco, these are typically Midland, Murdoch or Nedlands.
At other times, subject to operational requirements, you will work from the rooms or you can work from home.

The Position
You will be responsible for the day-to-day reception for the practice including telephone calls and on-site clinic support and patient management. You should demonstrate excellent organisational skills and perform well in stressful situations to ensure steady workflows and uninterrupted service is provided at the highest level.
You must be comfortable talking with people on the phone, talking to patients about money and securing payment.
Given the extended periods that the doctors are in theatre, you must be comfortable to (at times) rely on contact with the practitioners via email, phone, SMS and other electronic communications tools.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- All aspects of reception and telephone management
- Contact with the public, patients, doctors and other medical people
- Greeting and checking in patients on arrival, confirming appointment details and ensuring they feel comfortable
- Providing forms and confirming any required patient information
- Collecting any outstanding payments or copayments
You will need the following skills and attributes:

- You can multi-task, use your initiative and follow tasks through to completion
- You have excellent computer proficiency
