Medical Receptionist

Darwin Dermatology and Ologist are premier providers of specialist services for the greater Darwin region. Established in 2016 to provide the highest level of care for all dermatologic conditions including acne, eczema, psoriasis, skin infections, childhood skin conditions and skin cancers, our team has expanded to include a range of specialists – dermatologists, gastroenterologists, a nephrologist & general physician and a geriatrician.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and hardworking person to join our team in a full time capacity to deliver friendly and efficient support to our team of specialists and to our clients.

 The successful candidate will have:

· Good working knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Be able to work independently and as part of a team

· Attention to detail

· Available for an immediate start an advantage 

· Knowledge of Gentu/Genie software an advantage but not essential

· Experience with specialist suites and day hospitals an advantage but not essential

· Experience in an office setting preferred but not essential

· Be neat, tidy and well presented

 Key responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to):

· Greeting patients and visitors attending the clinic in a friendly, professional manner

· Managing patient appointments

· Accurately collecting and entering patient details into medical software

· Processing of payments including EFTPOS, cash and Medicare

· Protecting patient and practice privacy and confidentiality at all times

· Reviewing and sending out correspondence

· Management of incoming and outgoing calls

· Keeping the office in a clean working order

· Assisting the Practice Manager with day-to-day tasks as required

 Experience in a medical administrative role is desirable, though not essential, as training will be provided to the successful candidate.

Our clinic opening hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm. This position is full time, 38 hours a week, on a rostered basis. (Whilst this is a full time position, hours can be negotiated for the successful applicant if required)
