The position is located at the Darwin Private Hospital - Consulting Suites - working four days a week Monday to Thursday as a member of a small team.

Statement of Duties and Responsibilities of the position include:
1. To provide an efficient administration service on behalf of the practice.
• Secretarial services including word processing,
computer software for appointment management services, and
telephone management. Knowledge of Gentu desirable.
• Co-ordination of appointments for patients and professional staff
• Maintaining case notes. This includes keeping notes,
results, correspondence, etc. in an orderly manner
• Maintenance of consumables and stationery supplies.
• Patient liaison on financial issues, including billing, receipting, and
handling of account queries.
• Debt control, including following up on unpaid accounts.
• Clinic preparation, including retrieval of client’s case notes,
referrals, and results.
2. To liaise with the Practice Manager, and appropriate clinical, nursing, and
laboratory staff in the provision of these clerical services.
3. To maintain as confidential any trade or other information acquired by
you during the course or because of your duties. Client information is
not to be disclosed to any person unless required or authorized by the consultant.
4. To undertake any other legitimate duties as requested by
the consultant or the Practice Manager.
