We are a well-established but ever expanding team of leading specialists. The practice is also designed to provide high-level subspecialty training in multiple sclerosis and neuroimmunology for the next generation of neurologists.
We are currently looking for a full time Medical Receptionist to join our team. Full working rights in Australia is essential. The ideal applicant must be someone who is very reliable, has a great work ethic, can work well under pressure and must be able to prioritize. You will also be a quick learner, professional, accurate, with a willingness to learn and take on feedback. Being a good fit to our work culture and values is important. We offer comprehensive training to the right candidate. You will be responsible for undertaking general reception based duties and providing patients with an outstanding service.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Meeting and greeting patients in a professional and courteous manner
- Efficient management of all patient data, appointments, procedures, clinical files
- Answer a high number of patient and doctor calls
- Responding to email enquiries promptly
- Scheduling and effective management of patient bookings in Genie software
- Processing patient Invoicing and receipting of consultations
- Registering patient details
- Processing Medicare payments
- Scanning, linking documents to patient file
- Liaising with Medical professionals, hospitals, Medicare, health insurers, healthcare providers, government agencies and Insurance companies
- End of day banking reconciliation
Essential criteria:
- Reliable
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and verbal skills
- Great customer services skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Strong work ethic
Desirable criteria:
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist preferred but not essential
- Previous customer/patient interaction
- Clear, pleasant phone manner
- Experience with Genie software preferably
- Empathetic and compassionate towards patients
- Ability to manage a high work load
