Qualifications & experience
- Candidates must have minimum of 2 years experience in a Medical Receptionist setting.
- Experience with medical software - Genie
- Candidate must be computer literate - Must be familiar with Microsoft Windows, printers, scanners and emails.
- Must be flexible with rostered days and hours (Monday to Friday 0730 - 1730).
- Must be able to work as part of a team environment.
- Must have excellent communication skills - Clear, friendly speaking voice and be articulate in both written and verbal communication.
- Must be reliable, punctual and honest.
- Must be organised - Have the ability to multi-task across different platforms.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Welcoming patients and visitors.
- Answering the telephone and answering enquiries/ making appointments.
- Liaising with Medicare and private health funds.
- Emailing, scanning and mailing documentation.
- Maintaining information confidentiality at all times.
- Liaising with other medical departments such as radiologists, medical specialists and other healthcare professionals with professionalism and discretion.
- Position is 2 days per week - with the ability to cover sick and annual leave.
