We are a well-established but ever expanding team of Specialised General Practitioners. The practice is located in the heart of Glebe, where the practice has a long standing dedication to delivering exceptional patient centered care.
We are currently looking for a permeant part time Medical Receptionist to join our team. Full working rights in Australia is essential.
The ideal applicant must be someone who is very reliable, has a great work ethic, can work well under pressure and must be able to prioritize.
You will also be a quick learner, professional, accurate, with a willingness to learn and take on feedback. Being a good fit to our work culture and values is important. We offer comprehensive training to the right candidate. You will be responsible for undertaking general reception based duties and providing patients with an outstanding service.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Meeting and greeting patients in a professional and courteous manner
- Efficient management of all patient data, appointments, procedures, clinical files
- Answer a high number of patient and doctor calls
- Responding to email enquiries promptly
- Scheduling and effective management of patient bookings in Best Practice
- Processing patient Invoicing and receipting of consultations
- Registering patient details
- Processing Medicare payments
- Scanning, linking documents to patient file
- Liaising with Medical professionals, hospitals, Medicare, health insurers, healthcare providers, government agencies and Insurance companies
- End of day banking reconciliation

Desirable criteria:
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist preferred.
- Previous customer/patient interaction
- Clear, pleasant phone manner
- Experience with Best Practice software preferably
- Empathetic and compassionate towards patients
- Ability to manage a high work load
