We are seeking a permanent part-time Medical Receptionist for a women’s health clinic located in Berwick, South East Melbourne. It is a new, beautifully designed and purpose-built clinic. You will work closely with an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist. The clinic is a multidisciplinary centre, so you will also work with other specialist, allied health and other women’s health clinicians.
ABOUT YOU:
As a meet and greet receptionist, the successful candidate’s greatest asset will be their ability to provide friendly and personalised service to our patients making them feel comfortable and valued as they arrive.
The following is required in the successful applicant:
- Minimum of 4 years previous reception experience.
- A caring and compassionate nature. We are seeking someone who is able to make our patients feel comfortable, both face-to-face and on the phone. We care for our pregnant patients over many months and we expect our receptionist to be able to build a genuine and trusting rapport with them. Many of our patients experience difficult times and we expect that our receptionist is attentive to the extra care that these patients require.
- Whilst you will be provided with the training that you need, we need you to be willing to learn, ask questions and take ownership of your role.
- Ability to professionally handle a high-pressure situation and patient demands.
- Strong attention to detail and compliance with established workflow processes.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Working closely with the Practice Manager, your duties will include:
- Meet and greet reception, as described above.
- Answering phone calls.
- Booking and maintaining the appointment calendars. We use Clinic to Cloud.
- Processing EFTPOS payments and claiming Medicare rebates.
- Managing and responding to emails.
- Processing and actioning new referrals.
- Liaising with GPs and hospital departments.
- General office administration duties (mail, scanning medical records etc).
- Solely open and close practice on a rostered basis.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinic.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
- Workings days are Mondays and Thursdays with the potential to increase over time.
- Working hours 8:45am to 5:15pm.
