A warm and welcoming specialist practice located at The Mount Medical Centre requires an experienced, friendly and motivated team member for an immediate start.
On a daily basis you will be responsible for:
- Welcome and assist our patients and visitors whilst providing exceptional customer care with empathy and care
- Telephone management
- Meeting and greeting patients
- Good typing skills and experience with creating all associated documentation
- Booking, confirming and rescheduling appointments
- Record keeping – preparing, updating and scanning patient records
- Distribution/dispatch of correspondence
- Open and close the practice
- Liaise between medical professionals within the practice with discretion and professionalism
- Adhere to policy and procedures during all activities
- Maintaining reception and waiting areas plus consulting rooms in a clean and tidy condition
- Ensure stock levels are adequate, and orders are managed in a timely manner as per work instructions
- Balancing and banking at the end of the day
- Patient billing and taking payments
- We are looking for an empathetic individual with a patient focused approach to customer service.
- Minimum of one years’ specialist Medical Receptionist experience
- Experience using Shexie software (highly desirable)
- Knowledge of Medicare/DVA/Private Health Insurance billing
- Bookkeeping skills highly regarded
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Completion of an accredited medical certificate would be highly regarded
- Excellent attention to detail, time management and organisational skills
- Professional presentation
- The ability to undertake all duties in a diligent manner, with honesty and integrity working in a team environment or independently
