About the role:
The successful applicant will be the first point of contact for the practice and overlook the procedure and surgical bookings of the practice. You will have a patient-focused approach with genuine empathy and interest in patient needs, strong communication skills and an eye for detail.
Key responsibilities:
- General front desk reception duties: meet & greet, answering calls, SMS reminders, scanning, emailing, data entry, outgoing letters, etc
- Management of appointments and surgical bookings (including financial consent) in conjunction with your colleagues.
- Theatre lists & booking of recalls
- Billing and collection of payments for patient appointments and procedures with Eftpos and HICAPS terminal, reconciliation of daily banking
- Send consult letters to referring doctors
Desirable qualities and experience:
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience working in medical reception or healthcare administration role
- Tech savvy and proficient in Microsoft programs and practice management software
- Previous surgical/procedure bookings experience
- Ability to multitask coupled with the ability to priorities duties.
- Can work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently when required.
