The Link Youth Health Service (The Link) supports young people within Hobart and Southern Tasmania by providing a range of free and confidential health and wellbeing services for young people aged 12-25.
As part of The Link, headspace Hobart delivers integrated primary health, mental health and alcohol and other drug services to young people aged 12-25 years in a youth friendly environment.
About the Role
We are seeking a caring and passionate Receptionist to join our team.
To provide:
- High level administrative and services to support the efficient functions of The Link Youth Health Service.
- Medical reception support to the headspace Hobart program.
- Response to external telephone enquiries, client appointments, mail and email correspondence and supervision of the reception/waiting area and clinical rooms.
- Administrative, operational and technology support to management, staff and private practitioners.
About You
You will:
- Have highly developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate in a warm and effective manner.
- Give accurate information, safeguard confidentiality and work from a client-centred and non-judgemental approach with young people, their families and a diverse range of health and community service providers.
- Experience working in a medical setting is desirable, including the use of medical software such as Best Practice (or the ability to quickly acquire proficiency in medical software).
Essential Requirements
Evidence of the following must be provided prior to the appointment to the position:
- A current Tasmania Working with Vulnerable People Registration
- A current National Police Check (within the past 6 months)
