Medical Receptionist

We require a Front-of-house Medical Receptionist for a Private ENT Surgeon located in Adelaide. The role will involve building relationships with patients, Doctors and Hospitals. This is a Part-Time position, approx. 20 to 25 hours per week (with the ability to cover annual and/or sick leave) This role is based in the city as well as visiting satellite clinics.

The role will include:

• General reception and admin duties
• Greeting and arriving patients in a friendly manner
• Answering phone and email enquiries efficiently
• Booking and billing patient appointments
• Maintaining patient records and calendar
• Medical typing
• Processing and triaging of referrals
• Medicare, Private and Health Fund Payments
• Scanning of patient records
• End-of-day reconciliation

Successful applicant must:

• Be well-presented with a friendly and professional manner
• Have a high level of numeracy and literacy skills
• Attention to detail
• Good time management skills
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Word and Outlook skills
• Be a team player
• Any previous Medical Administration or Customer Service experience advantageous
• Knowledge of Medical terminology would be ideal.
