Bayside Haematology is a well regarded busy Haematology-Oncology Clinic in Mentone seeking a part-time Receptionist. The position is for two days a week – working Thursday (9am to 5:30pm) & Friday (9am to 5pm), 15.5hrs per week. Above award wages for the right candidate, depending on experience. We require you to be able to cover our Practice Manager for leave and/or personal leave. Our practice closes over the Christmas/New Year period for a few weeks which gives great work life balance.
Description:
- Meeting & greeting patients
- All telephone enquiries
- Checking emails
- Booking/rescheduling of appointments
- Taking payments from patients
- Processing Medicare payments
- Triaging of referrals
- Contacting pathology services for downloads
- Mailing
- Assisting Practice Manager as required
- Any ad-hoc duties as required
Requirements:
- Have worked previously in Medical either GP or Specialists rooms
- Knowledge of Medicare/VAFF & Health Funds
- Able to multi-task efficiently
- Have attention to detail
- Have patience and empathy
- Ability to work autonomously and as a team
