We are seeking a professional and caring person to be the face of reception at a busy front desk and deal with various administration tasks. Patient care is of the utmost importance in this practice from consultation to clinical procedures and post-procedure management.
This fabulous opportunity is located in the Inner Northwest of the city (Moonee Ponds), with all-day parking nearby or within walking distance of the local train station with trams at your door and the local shopping precinct.
Days required:
2 days per week. Wednesday or Thursday, however Friday is essential. 3 days per week will be considered for the ideal candidate.
Duties include:
- Meet and greet patients
- Running consulting sessions
- Preparing and receipting consultation accounts
- Billing of procedures
- Preparing theatre lists
- Use of Genie medical software is preferred
- Answering telephone
- Booking patient appointments
- Data entry of patient details
- Open and close practice
- General admin. duties - scanning, faxing, filing, etc.
- General cleaning of the reception area
- End-of-day duties
Essential Criteria:
- Ability to protect patient privacy and confidentiality
- Sound communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with doctors, staff, patients, and other healthcare professionals in a friendly and professional manner at all times.
- Excellent telephone manner
- Ability to work within a team, as well as independently
- Ability to prioritise and organise workflow effectively
- Proven computer skills
The successful candidate must be able to work within a team environment and display a calm and friendly manner. Private specialist experience is highly regarded together with a strong understanding of patient care and confidentiality. Salary is negotiable on skill level and experience.
