Medical Receptionist - The Skin Cancer Practice

The Skin Cancer Practice is a specialised clinic dedicated to the prevention, early detection and treatment of melanoma and non-melanoma Skin Cancers. The practice is led by Dr Brian Lim who is the clinical lead & oversees the day to day operations of the practice. We are co-located with Ellen Health in the heart of Fremantle, providing personalised and comprehensive Skin Cancer services – including thorough Skin Cancer checks, surgical & non-surgical Skin Cancer treatments.

The position is part-time (Monday 8am-5pm, Tuesday 8am-5pm) with the flexibility to cover sick leave and annual leave.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Welcome and assist patients with enquiries and appointments.
• Answer and respond to telephone enquiries courteously and professionally.
• Accurately process patient payments via cash, EFTPOS, and direct bill transactions.
• Ensure the accurate storage and retrieval of patient personal and financial information.
• Support the day-to-day operations of The Skin Cancer Practice.

Essentials:

• The role is patient-focused and requires excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
• Attention to detail when managing documentation, booking appointments and filing.
• We utilise a range of medical software which requires strong computer skills.
• We are looking for a team player with the ability to multitask. 
• A positive and can-do attitude.

Highly Regarded:

• Previous experience in a general practice or medical specialist environment.
• Experience using Best Practice software.
• Retail experience an advantage.
